Shipping Policy

We want your order to reach you as quickly and safely as possible. This page explains how we handle shipping, what delivery timelines to expect, and what to do if something goes wrong in transit.

1. Where We Ship — Worldwide

Captain Fam ships worldwide to Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and 200+ countries. All orders are fully tracked from dispatch to delivery.

We are unable to ship to PO Boxes, military bases (CFB addresses), or certain remote locations where carrier coverage is limited. For international orders, additional import duties or taxes levied by your country\'s customs authority are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our pricing. If your address falls into one of these categories, our support team will contact you after your order is placed.

2. Free Shipping Threshold

All orders totalling CA$35.00 or more (before taxes) qualify for free standard shipping worldwide. For orders below CA$35.00, a flat shipping fee of CA$3.99 applies at checkout. US orders may have additional express shipping options available.

3. Shipping Options and Estimated Delivery Times

The following shipping options may be available depending on your location and the products in your order. Delivery time estimates are calculated from the date your order is dispatched from our fulfillment centre, not from the date you place your order.

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding Canadian federal and Quebec provincial statutory holidays. Customers outside Canada may experience additional customs clearance time not included in these estimates. Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed on the next available business day.

4. Order Processing Time

After your payment is confirmed, please allow 1 to 3 business days for your order to be processed, quality-checked, and dispatched from our fulfillment centre. During high-volume periods (sale events, holidays), processing may take up to 5 business days. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number once your order has been dispatched.

5. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email containing your tracking number and a link to track your shipment in real time. Tracking information may take up to 48 hours to become active after your shipping confirmation email is sent.

You can also view your order status at any time by logging into your Captain Fam account and visiting the Orders section.

6. Delivery Estimates Are Not Guaranteed

All delivery timelines provided are estimates only. Captain Fam does not guarantee delivery by a specific date. Delivery times may be extended due to:

  • High shipping volumes during peak seasons (holidays, major sale events)
  • Severe weather conditions or natural events
  • Carrier delays or network disruptions
  • Customs or import processing for goods arriving from outside Canada
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery address provided at checkout

Captain Fam is not liable for losses, costs, or inconveniences resulting from delayed delivery where delays are caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

7. Incorrect Address and Failed Delivery Attempts

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address at checkout. Captain Fam cannot be held responsible for orders that are delayed, lost, or returned to sender due to an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address. If a package is returned to us due to an address error, we will contact you and may offer reshipment at your cost.

If a carrier makes a delivery attempt and is unable to complete it, they will typically leave a delivery notice with instructions for rescheduling or picking up your package at a local depot. Packages not claimed within the carrier's holding period will be returned to us.

8. Lost or Missing Packages

If your tracking information shows "Delivered" but you have not received your package, please take the following steps before contacting us:

  • Check with all members of your household to see if someone else accepted the delivery
  • Check around your property, including side doors, mailboxes, and any safe-drop locations the carrier may have used
  • Check with neighbours in case the package was left with them
  • Allow one additional business day, as carrier tracking can occasionally update before the physical delivery occurs

If your package still has not arrived after these steps, contact us at support@captainfam.com within 7 days of the marked delivery date. We will open an investigation with the carrier. Please note that investigations can take 5 to 15 business days to conclude.

9. Damaged Packages

If your order arrives with visible damage to the outer packaging, please photograph the package before opening it and report it to us within 48 hours of delivery. See our Return & Refund Policy for the full damage claim process.
